Frost has killed the flowers outdoors, but copious petunias are blooming in one of my AeroGardens. I used PictureShow to soften the colors and add some texture & definition.
softed so it looks like velvet, I like that the only flowers I got are some in my sunroom but soon it's to cold out there as well, winter is approaching....
It seems like some flowering plants thrive on cooler weather. There are some staples used here in Central California....snapdragons, pansies, primroses, cyclamen....they all bloom in the winter here...even with freezing temperatures.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
Those make me warm all over...I want summer back (it is freezing cold at the moment)...beautiful warm color!

I do love the softness of the flowers. A real pleasing image.
