Weathered

As I was getting out of my car on the way to get my hair cut, I spied these weathered boards on the side of a garage by the parking lot. I was snapping away with my iPhone when I was confronted by an officious lady in a suit, who tartly asked if she could help me. When I told her that I was just taking pictures of the wood because it was fascinating and explained that I had to take a picture a day for a whole year, she clearly decided that I was beyond help and started to back away. Well, the wood IS fascinating, especially when enhanced just a tad in PictureShow.

Seasonal

Early autumn storms have blown leaves from our maple trees. Some of them were stuck by the rain to the textured glass tabletop in the Secret Garden alongside the house. Processing was done in PictureShow.

Professional

Tuesday afternoons are quiet at our library, but the librarians are always there to help and to share their enthusiasm for reading and learning. We have the world's best librarians! (This is not Val's Aunt Betsy, but she was there.)

Ordinary

Here is my Tilley hat, hanging from its hook at my cube at work: an ordinary sight, typical of a drizzly workday. I used Iris PhotoSuite and BestCamera to bring out the details, such as the hat's stitching.

Motion

The midway is all about motion, sound, lights and garish colors. I used LiveFX and Iris PhotoSuite to play up those effects.

Hanging

When the Ferris wheel stops, people are hanging, suspended over the Fairgrounds. Editing was done with TiltShift Generator and PhotoForge.

More rain, wind and it's a work day--not optimal for finding a photo. But someone put this pretty plant in the ladies' room at my sterile office building, and that added some color and life to a dull grey day. I took the picture with Hipstamatic and aded some punch with PictureShow.
