In an exuberant response to an unusual warm spell, these magnolias burst into bloom a good month before they ought to have done. Silly things! This is New England. Even a mild winter does not relinquish its control willingly. Tonight, temps are getting down into the 20s and these lovely fragile flowers will be blistered and browned by morning.

Love the light coming through the blossom...great shot
ReplyDeleteme too that is a lovely effect, I hope they resist and aren't damaged
ReplyDeleteSame thing happening here...our daffodils are already gone (and they usually don't bloom until mid April)
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous...love the way the light is shining through those blooms making them even brighter!
Wonderful lighting . . . hope the blossoms survived and the weather prediction was incorrect.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty with the light shining down on the petals. Can be hard to isolate a branch with these flowers....you found a nice one!
