Texture

Kids can entertain themselves anywhere if they are separated from the electronic umbilical cords.  When we took granddude Aidan camping and he whined that he was bored, I told him, "This is camping and this is outdoors.  You have to find ways to play."  Next thing you know, he's engrossed in a construction project in the sand of the road down to the pond.  What I like about this picture is the play of the late afternoon light.

  1. I think it a shame that we (So Called Adults) have lost the joy of the tactile aspects of life that children come to inately,

  2. Love the way the light plays over Aidan as he plays with the textures in the sand.

  4. The low angle of the light is great for bringing out the texture in the sand and for giving the whole image of play lots of depth.

  5. His own little Zen garden! I love it when kids rediscover the fun of "unplugged" play and stretch those imaginations. Your lighting IS really wonderful!

  6. Just love this image, Bobbi....the light, complimenting colors, and the breaking up of the pattern in the sand by Aidan's hands at play!
