It's pretty and it looks all soft and harmless--but phragmities is an invasive species which threatens native plants. There's a stand of it at Paper Goods Pond.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty reflected in the pond. We are starting to get water hemlock (looks like Queen Anne's Lace) in our area which is poisonous to livestock and humans. Pretty but deadly.
