These four chairs in the plaza at Blue Back Square were abandoned today. there were plenty of shoppers, but with a brisk breeze and temps in the 40s, no one was lingering outdoors. On the other hand, the cafe at Barnes and Noble was packed.
The simplicity of the the design of this chairs is echoed by the starkness of their surroundings.

When summer ends, there are all these tasks that mark the end of the outdoor season. For us, one of them is storing the chairs from the Secret Garden. Here they are, stacked up against the fence in preparation to being hauled to the garage. Pencil Sketch and Accented Edges pare away the details and subdue the color to show off the lines in the chairs and the fence.

LL Bean has this inviting line of its classic Adirondack chairs just ourside the store. Using Dark Strokes and Poster Edges together brightens the photo and accents the details.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
