There's plenty of bright orange to warn drivers that the road is closed. The photo was taken with my Kodak Z915. I used selective color because the orange is what the picture is all about.

Do you get the feeling these people don't want visitors? I used the Replace Color tool to subdue the green of the foliage and play up the vivid red of the warnings.

Isolating the sign and converting the rest of the photo to black & white emphasizes the bleakness of the snowy woods and the hopeful message imparted by the sign.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
