Foxglove

My husband discovered these foxglove blooming in an overgrown area of the yard. Just some basic processing was done in PhotoForge.

I am a shade embarrassed at the number of photo apps I have on my iPhone; but PhotoForge is the one I return to over and over again. It's like the Elements of apps. It has all the tools to tune up and perfect a photo. There are plenty others for playing with photos, and they generate fun effects. But for me, PhotoForge is the one I use first on every photo to make it the best it can be.

  1. A really nice photo. I remember that it was you that gave me inspiration to buy PhotoForge, and I use it now and then. And I too have a lot of photoapps. on my iPhone. Well you have to test for a while before you know if an app. is useful or not. For the moment I am in love with an app. called Best Camera. It has many useful corrections like lighter, darker, more or less contrast, b/w, sepia, and a croppingtool that I dont like so much because it just make a square and sometimes I want to consider how the cropping shall be done. Then I use photo forge. But the best thing with Best Camera is that you can upload to Facebook, Flicker, Twitter, E-mail, and to the filmroll in the camera. If I want to take several picktures in a row, I use another camera and then use Best Camera for the rest. Well just now I like to play with pictures, but sooner or later I´ll perhaps go back to take ordinary pictures.

  2. I love what you can do with your iphone...the pictures you take and process are just as good as any DSLR...just goes to show, it's not the camera, it is the photographer! By the way, this is just stunning!

  4. Beautiful image, Bobbi! You really brought out the beauty of the colors. They are rich, but not overpowering. Lovely find!

I had been toying with the idea of a pocket p&s, but since the new iPhone has been announced have been considering that instead. Of course, I can stick with the iPhone I have also! :) despite the gadgaholic in me crying out for the newer one. hehe

  8. Gorgeous clarity and color!

I'm interested to read that Photoforge is your go-to app. I'm keeping a running list of apps that I want to consider when I get my iPhone. Someone else recommended the app Lena mentioned, Best Camera, so I'll get that one to start with too.
