There is something primitive and almost compulsive about leaving one's mark on walls. They did it in caves before there was writing. Ron's shown us aboriginal wall art. Here is the version one sees in the cities of the American northeast.
Even though I am a linguist, I can't translate Grafittieze, at all. The Aboriginal Rock art isn't marking territory though, they are history books. I have heard reports this week that they have uncovered one in the Northern Territory that was created approx 80,000 years ago, what were your anscestors doing then? or mine for that matter. Next time you see Aborigine Dot art. be aware that they are like aerial maps. The circles are waterholes (Important in the second driest continent on Earth) and the lines are the tracks between water, Survival at Work - Not Tagging. Sorry for the lecture, but it justifies your theme, shame that the primitaves are so much more advanced than us Moderns! LOL
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
I guess we all have to leave our markings somehow...no matter how bad it looks lol Nice textures and and processing...really like that film look!
