Honestly, I can't say I have a favorite food. We are lucky enough to live in a situation where food is abundant. I love to cook, and I prefer to use fresh, whole foods for our meals. One of our favorites is a Caprese salad, using cherry tomatoes and basil grown in our AeroGardens and fresh mozzarella from Stew Leonard's.

I like all those ingredients in combination. Is the mozzarella soft, and almost spreadable? That's the best!
ReplyDeleteSeems to me as if we had the same gust
ReplyDeleteWhat time is lunch?? :)
ReplyDeleteLooks very good!
ReplyDeletePretty as well as healthy! My kind of lunch.
ReplyDeletedelicious and pretty! I'll have different colored tomatoes and colored basil (green and purple), and will be eating a lot of this during the summer. Now, if only I could grow mozzarella in my yard :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have tomatoes and basil that you grew indoors right now?!!!
ReplyDeleteFor a minute I thought I saw tomatoes and chocolate but couldn't imagine them combined. I love tomatoes and mozzarella though!
ReplyDelete@ Ellen--Yep--I grow herbs, mega cherry tomatoes and chili peppers all year round in my AeroGardens. They're small hydroponic gardens with built in lights: check them out at www.aerogrow.com.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so darn good! I don't have an aerogarden but I would imagine one of the best things about it is the lack of pests.
