    Wonderful textures. Isn't it interesting that peeling paint is somehow more appealing than a pristine red and white?

    This is so wonderfully balanced with the trees on the right matching the tower itself. Gorgeous color and a clever straight-on viewpoint.

    We don't have lighthouses in Idaho. Maybe a trip to Oregon is in order? I like the red. Is it a working lighthouse?

    I agree with Val in that the faded and peeling paint adds so much to the structure. And who would want to paint his?
