Nature/Blossom

I usually have a host of daffodils in my yard, but this year most of them were lagging behind and hadn't yet bloomed...and today the Lawn Dude mowed them down. Only this one and its companion, which are planted way out back, survived. It's past its prime, but it has character.

  1. he does have character, quite a few of our tulips and daffs didn't bloom this year, but we did get to enjoy the ones that did,we don't have a Lawn Dude...obviously not a gardener! Very pretty photo though...

  2. This spring has been hard on the blooms . . . hopefully we will not see to big a decrease in fruit come autumn.

  3. Looks like a survivor....I lost many of my tulips and daffys to hail last week!...such weird weather! Especially after the winter that wasn't...which was hard on things too. Will hope for a better showing next spring!

  4. Think it's well to examine the beauty that's still left in the fading blooms. Wish I could remember the name of the photographer who created a beautiful book with less than perfect flowers. May have to see what google can come up with.

  7. I love flowers on the way out, this is lovely.

Whilst you all to the east were having record breaking warm the left coast was way colder than norm- that made what deigned to bloom last a long time.
