Seashore

Technically, this is not a seashore.  It is a lake shore.  But the lake is Lake Superior, a huge inland "sea." It has dunes and winds and waves and storms like a sea--all that is missing is the smell of salt (which, having grown up on islands on the Atlantic coast, I found unsettling at first.)

  3. If you can made sandcastles there then it must be a seashore, that's just my take on it.

  4. We live surrounded by Lake Superior and Lake Michigan and I never grow weary of visiting them. Love the blues of the water and sky contrasting with the sand beach.

One fine thing about lakes even great ones is that you don't need to worry about the tide.

  7. Lovely, COLD lake. Folks who have never seen any of the Great lakes sometimes marvel that you can't see the other side.
