Today, we visited my husband's sister in Queens. This is the view from her small backyard. It was the laundry on the line that attracted my eye. Given the brightness of the clothes on the line and the dull urban surroundings, I thought that selective coloring would be perfect.

  2. I admit, I've never really used a clothesline but I'm often attracted to the sight of them. Your composition is particularly interesting with the laundry stretching out across the blue sky background. I like the selective color too, but I really can't resist the blue of that sky.

  3. I'm probably something of a purist, and love the full colorr, the clothes balanced by the sky and brick. It's a good composiyion. Selective color looks like a fun thing to play with though.
