This is Crescent Lake, located in a town next to ours. John and I were there today, hiking and geocaching. It was a spectacular day to be out in the woods. The trees are just beginning to turn. Give it a few weeks, and they'll look like they're on fire. Dry Brush gave the scene a soft painterly look.
The filters almost make this very surreal - love those vibrant colors! You are really getting into this geocaching - I never heard of it until you! Sounds like time well spent w/ the hubby! :)
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.

Great color already, this is beautiful, I like that you stressed that sky and the filter did give a painterly feel. Nice after the rain you've had.
ReplyDeleteThe deep blue of the sky and the lake are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a view like this in my back yard < sigh > it's gorgeous.
