Tonight, the numbers will be all over the news, but the numbers only matter if people get out to vote. This is Election Day in Berlin, Connecticut. The poster effect is from PhotoExpress.
This is a perfect shot of the voting experience! I like the mother and doaughter, who are dressed similarly... which adds to the notion of the daughter looking up to / copying her mom. The poster effect makes it universal, not personal. Nice job for the day, for the theme.
That's the advantage of using an iPhone--stealth photography! People think you're just using your phone. I was careful to make sure that the voters couldn't be identified, though I don't think we have any laws against it.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.

ReplyDeleteGreat pic for the theme and I really like the processing. I agree with Judi that the processing makes it more universal.
ReplyDeleteNow that I can comment I want to say how much I like this and the effect you used. My state is all vote by mail and I miss going to the polling place.
