OK, I swore I was going with the 52 week premise, but when I looked at the 366 list, it was just SO tempting. So maybe I'll go with 52+: I'll concentrate on the 52 list, but see where I can merge it with the 366. This is all just so much fun!
Anyway, this is my younger granddude, Craig, playing with the Duplo train we bought about 20 years ago for his Uncle Chris. Toys like this are the beginnings of dreams, and dreams are the springboard to the future.
Bobbi, I'm taking photography lessons this year with a couple of friends. Our assignment this month is "The Decisive Moment".....defined as capturing a fleeting moment in time. I'm thinking this pensive moment of your grandchild would qualify. Nice capture!
Aaahhhhh...I still remember playing with Lego as a kid....and my folks still have the same bricks which the Grandchildren play with now...some toys never age
Lovely image of some intense concentration and fascination
I think a lot of us will (hopefully) travel the same path for posting photos. Love how you depicted this theme. Kids (especially grandkids) work for almost any theme.
The classic toys just seem to keep going and going and attract children regardless of how old the toy is. I'm a fan of those that require some imagination as they hold a child's attention sooo much longer. The vignette helps emphasize the "own little world" Craig is playing in at the moment.
those toys are always a joy and they last for generation even though they develop a lot. I thought of the 52's myself but as you say, it's so much fun so I guess I will add some extras. Lokking forward for yours!
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
lol I did the same thing...I plan on posting somewhere between 52 and 366 lol
ReplyDeleteI love the look of concentration in your granddude's face...I am thinking you have a future engineer! :)
I have no objections to stealing Billz ideas either, I ain't restraining myself and nor should you!
ReplyDeleteThat's the spirit Bobbie!
ReplyDeleteAs is usually the case, the old toys seem to be the most fun to play with.

Old toys stretch children's imagination.

ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful for the theme, think, it's a good beginning for him!
ReplyDeleteAhh the innocence of a child. Great shot!
