Treasure/Art

The New Britain Museum of American Art is an unexpected treasure in a weary post-industrial city. The first museum in the country to feature strictly American art, it exhibits works from the colonial period through the present. John and I are members, so we often stop in on for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon.

  5. Hi Bobbie, just like Steve, I prefer the first shot. I feel you could have done with a little more vignetting in the top corners so to balance them a bit more with the bottom ones. But it's a small thing. It's a great shot, well processed. And you've managed to keep the highlights from blowing out.

You should be proud. I know I'd be if I'd shot this.

  6. You offer two unique views of the museum...so nice that they let you take pictures....always think the posture and stance of the viewer makes for an interesting image....no matter what they are looking at. In a museum, it is interesting to see which images capture a person's attention as well. Nice share!

  7. I love museums and I even love it more when they let you take photo's inside. For me it's always a perk! Like both photo's but like the first one more. The guy has his hand on his hip and I want to know what he's mulling about.
