Even after a relatively mild winter, spring-hungry people flock to the Hartford Flower Show, where they can feast their eyes on green grass, flowers, trees in leaf, and even butterflies.

  1. Love it ... how did you light it??

  2. I didn't light it--the butterfly was just in a big glass cage, and I snapped it with my iPhone. I used the PhotoGene2 app to bring out the colors and the natural light, then to darken the background which made the wings seem to glow. It was just trial and error--or, as I prefer to think about it--play.

  6. Oh man, I thought this was a stained glass butterfly...amazing processing and colors! Love how the butterfly just glows with excitement!

I want butterflies and flowers again! The snow finally melted and it is rainy but warm...so hopefully soon! We actually have a chance of tornadoes today...weird, weird weather!

  8. Hi Bobbi,
Awesome picture! I'll take some butterflies and bees about right now. It's 28 degrees outside with a SE wind of 7. Have a great day!

  9. I thought it was stained glass, too. We have spring in the air, bees but no butterflies yet.
