Way back in the early 80s, not long after we were married, we went on vacation to Williamsburg, Virginia. There we bought a pair of small pewter tumblers. all these years later, on Wednesday evenings in the summer, we bring a picnic dinner to the quad at Trinity College in Hartford, where we sip wine from the pewters as we listen to the carillon concert.

Your volume control on your photo is busted, I can't hear the concert. I can hear the gurggling of wine and the clinking of pewter though. Lovely.
