This picture of one of our plastic lawn chairs was taken with the Hipstamatic app. I didn't do any further processing. I liked the almost surreal feeling of it just the way it is.
Desperation! When one is one one's second 365 project, one looks for opportunities everywhere. On days that involve getting in the car, driving on highways to work in a sterile office building located in a bleak (and dangerous) industrial zone in a city, and then driving back home, funkier things start to look opportune.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
