Pair

The dogwoods are fading; but this pair of flowers show that there is still great beauty even as their glory wanes. I used PhotoForge to bring out the details in this iPhone photo.

  2. Weird as it seems, I used to like keeping my dead flowers because I thought they had a whole other kind of beauty. As do theses fading flowers.

  4. Love this Bobbi. One of the very first shots I took with my 50mm when I got it last year was a fading bloom that I still love :-) There is a different beauty to them.

  5. Lovely shot! You have captured their dignified beauty. They just have some more color and character than when they were younger. :) Hopefully, we will all age as well.

  7. This is so intriguing. It is beautiful and draws you in. I keep looking at it over and over. So nice and the high clarity looks great here. This could also be "passage of time" :)

  8. I don't know why, but I like shots of fading flowers. This is really pretty with your chosen processing - it has kind of an aged look, very appropriate.
