There aren't going to be many more photos of weathered windows, doors and surfaces from the abandoned factory across from Paper Goods Pond--it is being transformed into classy but affordable condos. Phase 2 out of three has just been put up for sale. A loss, perhaps, for photography, but a big gain for the town and the neighborhood. This is one of the windows in the part of the building that will be Phase 3.

Give a copy of this to the new owners.
ReplyDeleteit's a fine remembrance for a weathered window and for the weathered building on the whole!
ReplyDeleteThe weathered look makes a fine image, but it is good that the building is being recycled into condos.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great old window. Even the plywood put up over the bottom of it looks beat!
ReplyDeleteI wish they would leave some of this old character on the building...the textures are great!
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbie,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a building. It saddens me when they tear down old buildings. The have such character. Have a great day!
Sherrie
I hope they save some of these windows and the character of the building.
ReplyDeleteI love weathered things...... must be 'cause I can personally relate! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed your documentation of this project through the last couple of years, nice to see it again and nice to know that it is progressing.
ReplyDeleteNice to have that wonderful brick building repurposed.
