Vacation Day 4 (Earth tones)




John found this praying mantis at our campsite near the Great Smokies. It was a rich earth brown, the better to sneak up on its victims.

    The mantis always look so unusual and other-worldly! I don't think I've ever seen them in real life (we don't have them this far north)
