Frosted

This is a photo of one of our maple trees taken just an hour or so after the snow started on October 29. Snow doesn't usually fall while there are leaves on the trees. Who'd have thought that that an accumulation of a few flakes per leaf--substantially less than an ounce -- would have done more damage than hurricanes?

  2. That is really beautiful, Bobbie. We were in San Francisco for this storm, but saw lots of tree damage when we came home.

  4. I love how abstract those leaves look with the thin dark branches forming a kind of leaf vein look.

  5. The snow on the leaves and branches give the image a abstract quality.

  7. Very pretty - I like the pine tree in the background, acting as sort of a backdrop.

  9. Wonderful photo. Nature usually keeps things in balance but human's have made that more difficult. I wonder how long the denials will continue?
