The lights came back on yesterday afternoon! Just in time...We weren't able to take the granddudes trick or treating on Halloween, as the streets were too dark, so we planned on a pumpkin hunt after dark in our yard. With so many in the state still out of power, I wasn't sure we'd get it back in time. But we did, and the dudes had a blast. Afterwards, they proved that classic toys are always the best: they were completely engaged in constructing a complex train track layout with wooden trains.

Yay! I was just reading a story about CT thinking it was not going to meet the projected Sunday electricity return and was hoping you were not one of the ones who is going to have no power for longer.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how they're going to meet that projected deadline: some of the larger almost urban towns like West Hartford still have half their customers out as of this afternoon. It's been horrific.
ReplyDeleteThank Heavens, better late than never.
ReplyDeleteWheee! Welcome back to the land of power!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that you have powered up again, I can just imagine every power outlet with something plugged into it and recharging.
ReplyDeleteChildren in paradise! Love the scene so much.
ReplyDeleteLights and heat and happy children playing . . . glad your power is restored.
ReplyDeleteYour processing makes the fact that they are in their own little world so evident. I think it's ironic that they don't even need power for the toys they are so happy with. Glad your power is up! It's getting cold out there!
ReplyDeleteThis brings back memories of my wooden train set. Perhaps this is what sows the seeds of becoming a foamer! I like the nostalgic look to this.
ReplyDeleteA precious photo.
