Neat! Now I have to ask, how you apply the texture on the background and not the leaves in an iPhone app? I'm sure you can't mask like you would in Photoshop. Confused admirer here!

A)The app just did it! There's no way to adjust most of them. It can be a frustration or a delight, depending on the outcome. B) I live in a small town. When Val found out which town it was, she realized her aunt is a librarian here. I love to read, so I'm at the library a lot, so I've known her aunt for years. Blows my mind, really!
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
It looks like it is tumbling over a wall in Tuscany...

There is a marvelous contrast between the brown the background and the dark green leaves. The leaves look so fresh and dimensional.
