A grey day with heavy rain falling since early this morning. This is a close-up of water drops on the hood of a BMW at the parking lot of a local grocery store. I used Iris PhotoSuite to tighten up the focus & contrast.
I just love macro photography and getting "the shot"...you did it here. You took what could be considered a mundane subject and made it VERY dramatic. I especially like the play of light balance, with the heavier, darker colors at the top and lighter at the bottom. It's always so much fun to break the rules and then completely score! Great work!
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
Those darn East coast summer storms...we had a bright sunny day today, so maybe you'll get it tomorrow? Hope so! :-)
