Today, we dropped our baby off at Fairfield University. It's quite a modern campus--except for the mailboxes, which remind me of something from the time of the Pony Express. I used TiltShift Generator and PicGrunger to accent the antique effect.
Great choice of processing! It really adds to the already antiqued look of the mailboxes. Julie brings out a good point-do they receive mail anyway?? haha I wonder if they even check their mailboxes, though I suppose they must in order to get their goodies from home.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
A throwback to days gone by, that's for sure. I wonder if the kids ever receive mail anyway?
