Buildings across Connecticut have been collapsing under the weight of this year's snow. People are taking desperate measures to relieve the stress on roofs. The Home Depot in our town was closed for two days because it was deemed to be in danger. They used a crane and huge tarps to haul the snow down to the parking lot.

Wow, now that is the way to capture the news...not so sure I would want to be the one hanging down though! Awesome capture (I would send this in to one of the local papers)!
ReplyDeleteWow - that's scary!
ReplyDeletethat's crazy! All of the snow was pushed off the roof into my yard last week to make sure it didn't collapse. Eventually it will melt in the yard. Good capture on your part!
ReplyDeleteYour processing is retro cool. It looks like a print I would have picked up at the camera store in the 70's! That's 1970's.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of work. The good news is some of those guys wouldn't have it any other way (the work, that is - not damaged roofs).
ReplyDeleteI am falling head over heals with blue!!!!

Hi!
ReplyDeleteThere have been several building roofs that have collapsed around here too. Ours had about 4 inches of ice plus snow on them. That is an awesome picture you took. Have a great day!

That is just craziness. You never realize just how much that white stuff weighs until you have to move it or it's too late. Thanks for coming and leaving a comment at my blog BTW
ReplyDeleteLove the blue of the sky.

I'm sorry for all the damage you had; some years ago here with us it was all the same, roofes were crashing because auf the snow.
ReplyDeleteA common problem all around the country this year.
