Hope

In a world and a time filled with threat and uncertainty, Tuesday evening Taize services provide a beacon of hope, symbolized by the candles we hold and then bring to the altar in prayer.

  1. I am amazed what you get with your iPhone camera and processing. This looks fantastic. I love the candle glow creating a luminous glow through the thumb.

  3. Yes, it was taken with the iPhone. I can't find my P&S--I'm beginning to get a tad worried about that. But it goes to show how having a decent camera in one's phone right at hand often eliminates the need to carry a bigger, heavier one all the time.

  12. Beautiful shot! And how great that you have a regular opportunity to practice Taize. I haven't been to a Taize service since moving three years ago and I miss it.
