I started out with the intent of getting some sort of black and white effect that would emphasize the grain of the logs. Along the way, I stumbeld upon the Bas Relief filter. Cutting the opacity ended up creating a 3D effect, which I thought was kind of cool. I love serendippity!

  1. Seemed to have nailed the grain but I would have though a simple levels adjustment would do the same. Interesting need to experiment a bit I guess.

  4. Nice shot. I still did not get my split wood here on LI. My wife is a little shall I say disappointed. I have about a cord still wet for next year waiting to be split.
