Mini-assignment: Leading lines


The crack in the ice in the top photo leads right to the odd brick building, directing the eye across the surface towards it and its reflection in the water. The Rule of Thirds also applies here, giving two reasons for the top picture to be more effective.

  3. I like the top picture too. I would have cropped it in the front taking away the bank. I find that a little distracting by drawing my eye in the other direction.

  4. You're tight about the back. I did cut back on it; but I should have had the guts to cut it out altogether.
