Unexpected

Spring-like weather has arrived, so I took my bike out for the first time this year. I rode down to Paper Goods Pond, where I spent a few minutes taking pictures of the geese floating on the water. As I was turning to leave, I caught the shadows of myself and my bike--something I hadn't expected to see. In the end, it made the more interesting photo. Taken with the iPhone, it was processed in PhotoStudio.

  5. Simply wonderful! I love the tones and the strong graphic quality. (almost as much as you must love having sun and warmth) Some photo blog or another had a tag line saying to always turn around after you think you got your shot.

  8. I like shadow pictures and this one is really nice. The inclusion of the actual bike wheel gives this a little something extra. Kudos for wearing your helmet. :-D

  11. My Uncle is always going out to ride his bike and sending me lots of pictures he takes. This is a really neat one! I love the shadow of the tire and part of the real tire in the pic.

  14. Helmets are critical! I'm a pediatrician--I've seen too much brain trauma not to wear a helmet!
