Thin

I was hard pressed to come up with a photo for this last theme before the month ended--and then I found this swan with it's long thin elegant neck. It was sailing through rain-swollen Paper Goods Pond. Swans look graceful, but they can be vicious; this one hissed at me as I aimed my iPhone at it. I used PhotoForge to soften the shot and to make the swan the focus.

  1. Bobbi, I love the feel of the last 2 shots. Did you apply textures to both? Nice work.

  3. No filters...This one has a tilt shift filter applies in PhotoForge. The one of the Connecticut River was taken with ClassicToy, one of a number of apps that emulate old cameras and film.

  6. You got the thin theme in, I didn't! We don't have swans floating around here, but other birds come and go in migrating season.

    Your filters are amazing!

  7. I really love the swan's surrounding blur. There is something about your iPhone shots that always have such cool lighting and drama to them. Super.
