An end to the idyllic shots of untroubled waters...we're back to ordinary life, which for me means working in a blighted part of Hartford. This is a view of it from the riverside park, which is part of a well-intentioned but likely fruitless attempt to "re-claim the waterfront." I used PhotoStudio to give it a bit of a battered look apprpriate to the area.

Hi Bobbi,
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I'll agree, we have lots of those areas and it seems they talk about it, but never do anything. Have a great day!

The added texture definitely adds to the grittiness of the image!
ReplyDeleteYour image and processing certainly get the message across. Very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteVery good, gritty image. I love how it is angled so it looks like you are looking out of a car window.
ReplyDeleteIconic shot of a troubled area. Beautifully and appropriately processed!
ReplyDeletelike the processing
ReplyDeleteI think this gritty image actually improves Hartford... or at least the Hartford I remember. (And I promise to stop saying this soon.. but I can't believe what you can do with your iPhone!)
