Work is proceeding well on the conversion of this old factory building into condos. People are already living in the far end, and they're selling units for Phase II, in the middle. The classiest units will be at the end which overlooks Paper Goods Pond: including this window, now marked with the number 1.

I like the vignette and the saturated look in this shot.
ReplyDeleteLove the processing on Unit Number #1! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI saw this on facebook, Bobbie, and it really caught my eye. Beautiful colors, and the windows are situated perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and textures. Now that spring is here, we'll probably be seeing Paper Goods Pond photos again. I always like those. :-)
ReplyDeletea great find, I do like the picture: the colors, the processing, the composition - and the story.
ReplyDeleteNice image with your processing. It also looks somewhat fisheyed, with a slight bow to it.
ReplyDeleteBright saturated colors and vignette . . . nice image
ReplyDeleteI love restored old buildings...you need to get inside for a tour of one of the units, I bet they are top notch judging from the historic look of the exterior of the building!
ReplyDelete@Tammy--We've gone to an open house at this place. They have done an absolutely stellar job. There are one and two bedroom condos, exposed brick in all of them. They used the big windows to great advantage as well as some of the industrial details like the posts and ceiling beams. The kitchens are state of the art. If it weren't for the fact that I love our little house AND I love having a yard and a garden AND we need room for our camper--I'd be tempted to move there. You can see what they've done at www.loftsatsherwoodfalls.com.
ReplyDeleteI love the curtain flapping out the window with that fine warm brick color. It does have a bit of a fisheye bow to the image. Wonderful that the reconstruction has been down well and with taste.
