Emotions




This couple lost six children, all but one by the age of five. I cannot imagine enduring such pain.

    Very nice shot for the theme. There are so many infant/children deaths in Green-Wood. I'm always surprised and saddened by them.

    The suffering must have been unbearable . . . a sad reminder of the hardships that our ancestors had to endure.
