Multicolored

As I was exploring the Trinity College chapel before tonight's carillon concert, I came upon the Verger's Room, which has always been closed. In it were these three Renaissance style windows featuring portraits of Henry VIII & Cardinal Wolsey...but also some guy from the 1800s. The windows are stunning, and coming upon them in a dark, usually locked room made for a great sense of mystery. I could imagine this as the opening chapter in a fantasy novel.

  1. What a treat! These look competitive some how with what I assume are coats of arms.

  8. Beautiful windows. Is there now a curse of bad luck upon you now that you have viewed the forbidden windows? You may want to wish upon a fallen star just to offset the potential.

  9. Lovely! So much so, in fact, that it can't be a bad luck curse; must surely be good luck. Something like "he who beholds light through the windows will be blessed with great wealth, health and wisdom."
