Scattered

This is not a sight one sees very often: autumn leaves mixed with winter snow. We've been hammered by a freak nor'easter. Trees, branches & wires are down on nearly every property. There are nearly 900,000 customers without power in Connecticut alone. We are among them. They are telling us it may well be a week before we get it back. We're lucky in that we have a woodstove, so we're not cold; and we're campers, so we have Stuff to cook on. But right now, I'd nearly kill for a hot shower! I'm posting from my cell phone so I have limited Internet access. I miss your blogs! I promise to get back to enjoying them as soon as I can.

  2. It's way too early for this! Your power bill for the year must be low, since it seems you are always dealing with outages. Hang in there and we will see you when you can get out.

  4. If it weren't for the mess the storm has made this would be a lot prettier. I read on FB about the granddudes getting tricks and treats next week, I bet they are having a blast!

  5. I like the lone footprint. Sorry that it's probably yours, walking about in search of a working plug to charge your iPhone... Glad you are warm and dry!

  6. At least it's not below zero in temps! Keep the faith and stay safe! Oh for the comforts provided by electricity!

  7. I can not imagine so much snow before the leaves have fallen causing so much damage. Mother Nature's cruel trick. The lone footprint in the snow and leaves tells the story of this storm.
