I love the ProHDR app! At first I thought it was only for landscapes, but today I tried it with these snapdragons growing in the little AeroGarden in my cube at work. The light is intense and the shadows deep; the iPhone has no flash and little way to compensate in terms of settings. ProHDR took care of that. I did have to hold the phone very steady for the two shots--a bit of a challenge! I used the Dreamy filter from PhotoForge to give it a romantic softness.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
