It rained yesterday, it rained today, it's gonna rain tomorrow, and it's supposed to rain straight on through the weekend. When the weather is grey and gloomy, certain flowers--forsythia and dogwood, in especial--seem to have their own inner lights. This forsythia bush is fading, but it still had the capacity to light an drizzly afternoon. I wanted a filter that would highlight the raindrops. Watercolor seemed to fit the bill.

Beautiful colors in spite of the rain. Great use of filters. Our rain is on the way!!
ReplyDeleteEven rainy days have their appeal. The yellow jumps out of this photo. We finally got a little rain last week, but not enough to eliminate the drought in California.
ReplyDeleteIt also softened up the blooms - gorgeous!!
ReplyDeletepretty! making the rain bearable! ; )

ReplyDeletenice rain drops on your forsythia. love the bright yellow..
you commented on my polka dots some time ago and ask what it was. sorry I did not answer then. polka dots are pottery glaze on a fish sculpture.
I feel you pain with the rain. It has rained and rained and rained. The Lord has answered our prayers many times over. Lovely yellow in this photo.
ReplyDeleteI love that the yellow is as saturated both with color and rain as the vibrant grass.
ReplyDeleteThey do look like they're lit up. Great capture!
