The rhododendron outside our front door was still moist with rain this morning. A combination of Chalk and Charcoal with Posterize lent a subtle emphasis to the color, the raindrops and the stamens. (At least I think they're called stamens--the little trumpet-things coming out of the middle of the flower...)
Really beautiful, your processing did draw out lovely detail. (as a plant nerd the stamens are the shorter pollen bearers and the longer parts are the pistils waiting for that pollen- rhododendrons are perfect for plant sex-ed)
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.

ReplyDeleteDitto what Tammy said--beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I like your postprocessing on this one. I miss rhododendrons - too dry here to grow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! Your processing played up the best parts of the shot wonderfully.
