July 22: We drove all day in the rain, crossing Michigan diagonally. We pulled into this campground with not much time to spare in order to set up and prepare dinner for guests who were coming to visit us. There wasn't much time for photography, so I'll be the first to admit that this is not a great picture. It was actually, "OMG I haven't got a picture for my blog yet; I'll snap one of the pond real quick before it gets dark!" But it did give me a chance to use the Water Paper filter, which gives it a soft dreamy look.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
Actually I disagree w/ you, with the filter this looks like a piece of art! So soft and painterly!
