July 23: We stayed at oe of our favorite campgrounds, Niagara Falls North KOA in Lewiston. On a whim, we decided to go see the Falls. We'd been there several times before, but never at night. I'd though lighting the Falls would look tacky, but it was actually quite impressive. I had only my little P&S with no tripod, but a few of the pictures give some hint of the scope and power of the Falls. A combination of Conte Crayon and Poster Edges pumps up the drama.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
