Most of the time, we go to the late Mass, so there's plenty of time for a leisurely morning routine: tea, the comics (especially Prince Valiant), and the NY Times crossword puzzle.
Prince Valiant is still made? As is Family Circus? Has PJ grown up yet or is he still a baby? What about Barfy the dog, is he still alive? Thanks for the memory jog, Bobbie. I haven't looked at a comic section in years!
PJ is still drooling and in diapers; Barfy is still alive and well. And yes, Prince Valiant is questing--though Arn is now grown and serving as regent, since King Arthur is too old to rule. The only reason I still get the Sunday Hartford Courant is that it runs Prince Valiant. Other than that, the paper has become nothing but ads and white space (not to mention the conceit that life doesn't exist outside of Connecticut)so I wouldn't bother. But I love Prince Valiant--the artwork is fantastic.
seems a lot like my routines. A pot of tea, newspaper and some sudokus to wake up with is a greatstart of a day and.... sometimes the laptop joins to ;-)
This layout it very pleasing to the eye..dont recognise any of the comics, though, as I'm in the UK...all thats missing (in my opinion) is a tasty snack!
Lovely picture! I've tried to establish a morning routine like this, even bying a daily crossword calendar, but I just don't have time for anything except showering and eating breakfast in the morning. Might be because I always sleep as long as I possibly can. :D
I'm so happy you use pencil and eraser! LOL I was always intimidated by those people on the subway who would be doing the Times puzzle in pen! Great shot that shows your routine.
Add a cup of coffee and there is my Sunday morning routine! A;though my favorite comic is Zits. It deals with a teenage boy and I swear they are spying on my son! Nice clean, crisp image.
I sure didn't know that Prince Valiant was still around. I thought only Arn lived on as a crossword clue. It ruins my day to not do the NYT puzzle in ink.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
