@Val--Fortunately, it was after we'd left her and we were on our way out. If she'd been with us, she would have been TOTALLY embarrassed and sworn that I had ruined her for life by being so weird.
Ah, college! Stenciled instructions on painted concrete walls. I agree with Giseled and that their is a certain vibrancy to 3. I wonder if it was intentional?
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
Great presence of mind to catch this in all the chaos of a move-in. Impressive! :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the different tones of red in the letters

ReplyDeleteI bet it is hard taking her back, but hey, you got a theme filled doing it (on the up side)1 :) Love the simplicity and how that #3 stands out!
ReplyDeleteYou have to get your inspiration where you find it, my family are totally over being embarassed by my photography pursuits.
ReplyDeleteit's good to know: there is always an exit, and if one exit is in the south, then I hope there will be another in the nord ;-)
ReplyDeleteGood catch. It really stands out against the concrete.
ReplyDeleteGood tonal quality in the reds. This really stands out on the concrete backdrop.
ReplyDeleteyup that is most definitely a 3
ReplyDeleteGreat clean image, the 3 does seem to glow a bit. It won't be that much longer that you embarrass her...
ReplyDeleteWell done "3"... it really jumps out at us and it has the institutionalized feel to it that is easily recognized.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I am attracted to signs, but I am and I like this...lots of texture and color.
ReplyDeleteI like the arrow and the textures.
ReplyDeleteNice, very apparent theme. Love the bright red.
ReplyDeleteI like taking photos of numbers too. Not sure why they have an appeal. This one is very nice! Was your daughter eager or sad to go back?
ReplyDeleteTotally eager...one last eaglet out of the nest.
ReplyDeleteThe red paint has very interesting depth and texture. Graphically interesting!
ReplyDeleteInteresting with the different shades of red. I like the grungy look.
