Patriotic

The set of "American Primitive," a play based on the letters exchanged between Abigail and John Adams. It explored the deep love between these two, as well as the deep pain caused by their separation while he was in Philadelphia involved in national concerns and she was in Massachusetts, managing the farm and the family on her own.

  2. First of all, nice idea and representation for the theme. I have thought long and hard how I am going to cover this. Secondly, I am fascinated by John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, both signers of the Declaration of Independence, once rivals then friends, who both died on the same day, 50 years exactly after July 4th, 1776. You couldn't write a better story! I think Abigail was John's cousin but I'm not sure.

How come from 13 small colonies we had such intelligent and brilliant statesmen but now with 50 states and 350 million we get.....?

  5. Boy you're brave, trying to depict an entire play with one Photo, I'd never try that!

  6. Looks like the simplicity of the set would really allow one to concentrate on the words being said. Would love to see/hear that play! You have a great shooting angle.

  7. Great shot capturing the theme. I already have my "Patriotic" shot in mind, but I have to wait a few months to get it.

  8. This is a terrific shot and does give a sense of what you'd see with the actors on stage.

    Steven's point is well taken.....
