That's absolutely breathtaking - the clouds look painted in the reflections on the water. The light, the reflections, the angle of the dock are perfection.
This is an iPhone photo. The one difference is that last year my "rules" required that I do all the processing in the phone with different apps; this year, I haven't given myself such restrictions. Thisphoto and the one I posted today were taken with the iPhone and processed in Elements.
I am amazed at what can be done with phone photos...goes to show you that it is the eye that is more important than fancy equipment! You have such a way of finding these great sky/waterscapes! Very inspiring!
Your banner photo makes me miss the days of ice skating out on the pond near our house! This shot of the water and the dock is just perfect. I will be in your neck of the woods in April-maybe we can connect up and do some phototography.
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
This is an inspiring photo. Something to know you can wake up to another day, and be thankful for the beauty of this earth.
