I spent most of the day at the Dreaded Mall and other stores shopping for a prom dress with my daughter. Don't ask.
Along the way, I caught this photo of the Starbucks franchise. The Angled Stroke filter with the Pencil Sketch effect at a very low opacity works to focus a random shot into a study of the human activity at a mall.
Oh goodness. What Fun!? I have 3 daughters and have done the prom dress shopping with two so far (1 was easy, the other I wanted to sit down and scream or cry). Nice perspective on this picture
...is to fill 52 themes, one a week for the year. Some weeks, maybe I'll try to find several photos to fit the themes. Others, I may spend more time trying to perfect one that seems best to represent the theme. Three years of a photo-a-day opened my eyes, now I want to hone my skills.
Somehow, a camera allows me to see more deeply and awakens the eye. For me, undertaking these year-long challenges is a way to become more aware of the world that swirls around me.
I remember the prom dress shopping trips...not a fun time!! Nice shot.
ReplyDeletePerfect slice of life picture. Love the perspective you shot this from (also Starbuck's is one of my favorites!!)!
ReplyDeletePerhaps the theme for this one should have been "torture"! I hope she found a dress she loves without needing to have you mortgage the house.
ReplyDeleteOne's photo can be a "tell tale" about the frame of mind they are in! It tells me you were a "little" stressed! you really wanted that coffee!

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the torture! I would drown myself in a triple americano. Nice shot though ;-)
